Simple Saison aged in Chardonnay Barrels
This is a simple saison base that we use a lot for blending. We decided to put some of it in fresh Chardonnay barrels from Central California, and do a different unique fruit for each barrel. This is the un-fruited base beer to drink for reference. The name, Saison de Chuchotements (shoo-shoo-mah) means “Saison of Whispers” in French. We chose that name (in part for the shadenfrude we get hearing you try to pronounce it) because this series showcases fruits that are typically lighter in flavor, and because we used them in lesser quantities than our other fruited stuff, to balance and play against the base beer and the barrel character. It was barrel fermented with our house mixed cultures. The four initial releases (un-fruited, pear, cherimoya, and melon) were each packaged from a single barrel; we filled only 375 ml bottles and no kegs. Enjoy!

Shipping is available to Syndicate club members and the general public (within CA only!) for a flat rate of $10 / 1-12 bottle box (375ml or 750ml bottles). Merchandise such as shirts and glassware take the place of 1 bottle in the box. For the general public, we will hold on to your bottles for 90 days from the date of purchase. Any bottles not shipped or picked up within 90 days will be forfeited without refund. - Bottle sales are available to Single Barrel Syndicate members first, then remaining bottles will be put online to the public.
- Buy and ship one bottle at a time, or we’ll hang on to your purchased bottles and will ship only when you want!
- Ready to ship? Simply buy a shipping box for $10.00 at checkout, and we’ll ship your orders (past and new) all at once.
- Arrangements can also be made to pick up your bottles. Due to possible fluctuations of pick up locations, you must email Info@CelladorAles.com to coordinate pick up. 2 days notice is appreciated, but not required
- Shipments are dropped once a week every Tuesday
